At GXO, we’re looking for a dynamic, driven professional to lead and manage a range of exciting projects within our UK & Ireland portfolio. You'll bring your project and programme management expertise to oversee the delivery of impactful HR initiatives, supporting both central HR functions and a variety of complex projects.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave, based at our Central Office in Northampton. While flexibility is key, we’re also open to offering a hybrid working arrangement. If you ready to make an impact we would love to hear from you!

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £95,000 per annum depending and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
Deliver varied projects ranging in size and value with the key focus being to deliver within scope, budget and agreed timelines. Lead, guide and motivate SMEs and project workstreams including the delivery teams Managing & monitoring the UK&I HR Portfolio of programmes and projects across all key HR disciplines including BAU and Transformation keeping to schedules, budgets and quality expectations Keep track of budgets, supplier deliverables and invoices and ensure alignment back to the original financials and business value Oversee project managers of all projects to make sure delivery of their projects is on time and within budget as well as meeting quality standards. Coaching and mentoring team members to ensure they can achieve their true potential
What you need to succeed at GXO:
Extensive experience of delivering large and medium scale complex projects and/or programmes within a central HR function with a strong track record of leading the delivery of measurable value projects against time and budget constraints Experience of Human Resources Information Management Systems and HR systems e.g SuccessFactors, workday, Payroll Solutions, Oracle, ADP, Document Management Solutions A Prince2 qualification or similar would be advantageous but a track record of strong successful project delivery would be more impressive A structured and methodical approach with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to communicate complex issues in a clear and confident way.
