WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
As a member of the HR Digital Solutions team, you are responsible for the configuration, on-going development and maintenance of the HR ServiceNow platform (HR Service Delivery) with a specific focus on Employee Relations and related Services (e.g., Conduct, Complaints). Your contributions will directly impact the experience of over 80,000 RBC employees globally. The role provides deep technical experience in implementing best practice solutions that support ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) based processes within the organization. The successful candidate must be able to foster positive relationships, be solution oriented and have a keen attention to detail.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Support small to large development or maintenance projects (multiple projects - one application with multiple interfaces and/or third parties).Provide input into high level and detailed technical specifications for small to medium projects.Contribute to the on-going design and enhancement of HR ServiceNow and Employee Relations Services to reflect RBC HR’s Service Delivery requirements·Apply a design thinking mindset where the user is as the center of the solutionEngage with Employee Relations subject matter experts, Enterprise Technology teams and other key stakeholders to gather and clarify business requirements, then translate them into system configurationsAssist in prioritizing backlog to ensure the most critical work is being addressedAssess and communicate risks associated with the change and strategy to mitigate the risksImpact and influence to ensure stakeholder buy-in and support of the product lifecycleEnable others to work collaboratively across functional groups by establishing and maintaining a culture of trust and shared vision
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must-have:
3 or more years of ServiceNow experience – preference to development in HR Service DeliveryKnowledge of JavaScript, HTML, AngularJS, XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, JSONDocument technical solutions, build artifacts and run books as necessary.Ensure high degree of development standards are adhered to minimize the risk on introducing errors into the production by following the internal SDLC.Test, analyze, collaborate, and assist with translating business requirements into technical specs to ensure smooth implementation of new enhancements, applications or modules.Load, manipulate and maintain data between ServiceNow and other systemsUnderstanding of end-to-end HR Service DeliveryPost-secondary diploma or degree in a business-related discipline or equivalent job experienceAbility to interact with business partners at all levels of the organization to collect and document business requirementsAbility to take ownership of duties and work under tight deadlines with multiple competing prioritiesProven change management skillset driving adoption of digital solutionsExperience creating REST/SOAP web servicesNice-to-have:
Strong professional and interpersonal skills including: creative problem solving, effective written and verbal communications, planned and organized coordination of cross functional teams, acute attention to detail and quality, and driven with the ability to self-manage.Demonstrated ability to not only develop in ServiceNow, but to problem solve and troubleshoot to provide user support.Experience in financial services industry3-5 years of related Human Resources experience within a corporate HR environmentAgile, Change Management and/or LSS Certification
