Senior HR Specialist
The opportunity: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior HR Specialist, HRBP, to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources, with a particular emphasis on data analytics and an understanding of sales commission plans. This role will be instrumental in driving HR initiatives, optimizing HR processes, and supporting our employees\u2019 growth and development. How you will impact Smurfit Westrock: \u2022 HR Operations: Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, performance management, and compliance with labor laws and regulations. \u2022 Data Analytics: Utilize data analytics to drive HR decision-making, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to improve HR processes and employee engagement. \u2022 Commission Plans: Ability to understand commission plans to ensure they are competitive, fair, and aligned with company goals. \u2022 Recruitment and Onboarding: Lead recruitment efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees to ensure a smooth transition into the company. \u2022 Employee Development: Develop and implement training programs to support employee growth and career development. \u2022 Policy Development: Create and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and support the company\u2019s strategic objectives. \u2022 Employee Engagement: Foster a positive work environment through employee engagement initiatives and programs. \u2022 HR Metrics: Track and report on key HR metrics to measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives and programs. What you need to succeed: \u2022 Education: Bachelor\u2019s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. \u2022 Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, with at least 2 years in a senior or generalist role. \u2022 Strong analytical skills with experience in HR data analytics. \u2022 Proven experience in commission plans. \u2022 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. \u2022 Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations. \u2022 Proficiency in HR software and tools. \u2022 Ability to work independently and as part of a team. \u2022 Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
