Your role and responsibilities

The work model for the role is: #LI-hybrid We are now looking for new Senior HR Specialist to join the ABB Finland HR team in Vaasa. As a Senior HR Specialist of the Global HR Operational Services team, you will be responsible for delivering HR Service support to the HR community, managers and employees. You will provide a high level of support for internal customers, with accurate and timely processing of information for all stakeholders mainly focusing on supporting our employees in Finland. Additionally, you will be working on our recently implemented time management system Jotbar and our outsourced payroll service provider. You will be mainly accountable for:• Delivering HR Time Management and Payroll Service support to the HR community, business managers and employees according to defined Service Level Agreements• Interpreting industry related Collective Bargaining Agreements and work time related regulations in support of our stakeholders daily questions and system functionalities• Processing HR requests related to multiple service lines (Compensation & Performance, Payroll, and HRIS) for an assigned group of employees• Identifying opportunities for improvement based on feedback and experience with customers and taking the lead on process improvement projects• Communicating information regarding policies and standards on assigned processes to internal customers in a clear and concise manner to ensure understanding and adoption• Preparing accurate reports and documents for external authorities• Ensuring that all systems and databases remain up to date with current employee and organizational information and integrations are set up properly, maintaining a high level of data quality and accuracy and providing on-demand reports where required• Providing a high level of support for internal customers, with accurate and timely processing of information for all stakeholders, while ensuring that quality controls are maintained

Qualifications for the role

B.Sc. or M.Sc. level degree from a suitable field, e.g. Economics or AdministrationSolid understanding of HR practices and employee life-cycle processesSeveral years of experience with work around time management and/or payroll mattersExcellent understanding with practical application knowledge of the Technology Industry Collective Bargaining Agreements (TES) and local work time regulationsPassion for problem solving with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously within set schedulesKnowledge of SAP HR, JotBar, Workday and/or similar HR and time management systems A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach to work with and strong communication skills A proactive way of working to serve customers with a “can-do” attitudeFluency in Finnish with good English skills, both in written and spoken
