Senior HSE Manager

Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior HSE Manager to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

Review and understand SAPL and Client HSE Standards and Requirements

Supervise and monitor employees and contractors working on site to ensure adherence to SAPL and Client HSE requirements and approved safety plans

Support the review of Contractor method statements and risk assessments, as delegated, prior to work activities commencing

Support the implementation of project Health, Safety and Environmental strategies / initiatives across the projects

Support, and if required, lead visits / inspections by Client or Senior Leadership Teams Conduct HSE Assurance activities, including, but not limited to: Daily Inspections (recorded on Enablon), including verification of close-out by Contractors Document reviews, i.e., operator training, third party certification etc. Vehicle Checks – use of Veri-fi system

Weekly Contractor Safety Walkthroughs Audits / Compliance Inspection Reports (weekly/monthly)

Assist, where required, in the preparation of daily, weekly and/or monthly HSE reports / statistics for the project Attend, and where required, chair HSE meetings

Conduct or support HSE awareness training for Parsons direct employees and Contractors Carry out and/or support incident investigations Review information on observations, first aid cases, near misses, injuries, damages and losses and review overall HSE performance during project execution

Liaise with client representatives as required on all HSE matters in a professional and responsible manner Have full knowledge of their project site, key personnel and current / future activities

Support other project sites as instructed by management team

Be flexible in working schedules to ensure adequate HSE cover during shift and weekend working Support and where possible, lead HSE initiatives and campaigns to encourage continual HSE improvement To always lead by example by demonstrating safe personal behavior and represent the organization on and off the project site for any HSE related matters

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent

Minimum of 10-15 years’ experience, with at least 5 in a similar role

Experience in the Middle East, KSA preferred

NEBOSH IGC or equivalent

Professional Membership (i.e., IOSH, IIRSM)

Report writing and data gathering

Self-motivated and able to work on their own initiative

Good Communication Skills (Strong Command of English)

Flexible and adaptable in support of their Manager, OXGAON and Parsons.

Be open, honest and dependable at all times.

Able to manage a small team of HSE professionals on a daily basis.

Attention to Detail

Enthusiastic and willing to learn

Experience in use of Microsoft Office Tools, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint
