Role Summary

The Senior HSEQ Advisor will assist in the development, implementation, and oversight of health, safety, environmental and quality (HSEQ) strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote a proactive safety culture throughout the company’s operations in Australia.

In this newly created role, you will collaborate with our team to define the business systems requirements and architecture. You will then be part of the team responsible for developing and implementing these systems. Ultimately, your role will involve overseeing and maintaining the business systems, ensuring compliance through audits and training. Additionally, there will be a need to assist the organisation achieve accreditation under new standards.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Guide and support project leaders and senior management in understanding and implementing HSEQ requirements comprehensively.Manage and enhance in-house HSEQ systems.Assist in the implementation and oversight of the Global HSE Management System (GHSEMS) and BlueBook standards.Assist in conducting regular HSE audits for projects and office environments, supporting the business to address findings and manage corrective actions for continuous improvement.Ensure ongoing accreditation to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.Serve as an ambassador for the company’s values, promoting best practices in HSE.
 

Desired Skills, Experience and Capabilities

Demonstratable experience in identifying business HSEQ system needs and architectureExperience developing and implementing HSEQ systemsUnderstanding of office HSEQ requirementsApplied knowledge of QHSE Management Systems and quality tools.A consultative approach and ability to partner with both internal and external stakeholders.Ideally some construction experience and an understanding of construction processes
