Senior Human Factors Engineer – Electrophysiology, St Paul, MA

Position Responsibilities
Provide human factors expertise to R&D teams
Responsible for directing and coordinating all activities necessary to complete human factors engineering projects. Activities include, but are not limited to:Conducting ethnographic user research to identify user needsTranslating user needs to requirements and product design conceptsDeveloping prototypes to explore and validate product design conceptsPerforming workflow, task and use error analysesConducting Formative Usability testingConducting Summative Validation testingSupport program teams to ensure sound human factors principles are considered and implementedCreate and communicate project plans, tasks and deliverables and manage time to meet project deadlines.Required Qualifications:
BS. degree in Human Factors Engineering, or a related discipline required3+ years of relevant human factors/usability engineering or design experienceProven ability to apply knowledge of human factors principles (human performance and limitations – perceptual, cognitive, motor skills, anthropomorphic) and techniques (user research, user-interface design, usability testing) to the design, development, and evaluation of hardware and/or software productsExperience leading Human Factors activities across the product lifecycle, including ethnographic research, user needs identification, workflow and task analysis, requirements development, user interface design, user error analysis, usability and validation testingA proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and provide technical leadershipExperience with software and/or hardware user-interface designProven ability to interface with customers in a highly professional mannerAbility to quickly assimilate advanced domain knowledgeExcellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.10% TravelPreferred Qualifications and Education:
PHD. degree in Human Factors or related disciplinesExperience in medical device developmentWorking knowledge of cardiac electrophysiologyWorking knowledge of Human Factors/Usability Engineering regulatory standardsExcellent collaboration and organization skillsThe base pay for this position is $85,300.00 – $170,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
