Additional information about the company can be found at WhirlpoolCorp.com. **The team you will be a part of** ORGANIZATION THE GLOBAL BUSINESS: ● #1 Fortune 500 Company in Consumer Durable category ● Annual sales turnover of $21 billion ● 70 Manufacturing & Technology centers around the Globe ● Operations in more than 170 countries ● Over 12 brands as part of global portfolio BEST EMPLOYER AWARD We believe that our people make us a great place to work, reflected in the awards we have received consistently over the past couple of years **This role in summary** **The Hardware Engineering position is responsible for designing electronics, from requirements to production release embedded in Whirlpool Appliances.** **Your responsibilities will include** + **Develop and validate embedded complex hardware applications, mostly focused on Appliance Control unit / HMI solutions** + **Design hardware solutions to drive system optimization, improve module/component design and enhance product reliability.** + **Interact with system integrators to review and consolidate application requirements.** + **Select and integrate hardware modules to build embedded hardware applications.** + **Electronic/Electrical Circuit Model/Simulation** + **PCB Layout design, applied simulation and component selection for hardware execution.** + **Prototype assembly, bring up, debugging, and functional verification** + **Working with and managing suppliers/manufacturing partners .** + **Basic knowledge of EMI/ECM tests, standards** **Application of Technical tools:** + **Knowledge of engineering tools to verify design for assembly/reliability/manufacturability/safety** + **Schematic Capture and EDA simulations, PCB layout - CADENCE, Mentor Graphics etc** + **HW Verification Testing using lab equipments, such as DSO, Multimeters etc** **Minimum requirements** **Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering or Electronics and Telecommunications** **AGE** **NA** **EXP** **B.E.2-5 yrs** **Preferred skills and experiences** + **Generate and capture knowledge for future reuse** + **Awareness of Whirlpool roadmap/architecture/ZBP** + **Windchill knowledge and use.** + **Hands-on experience building prototype electronics: assembly, board bring-up debugging, functional verification, modification of mechanical housings** + **Knowledge of semiconductor theory and manufacturing, digital design, analog design, power supplies, transmission lines and other fundamentals of electronics and semiconductors technology are all highly useful.** + **Strong documentation writing skills** **Additional information** Proficient in Electronics and Hardware Design 2. Hands on with Programmable power supplies, Signal Analyzers , Good debugging skills 3. Proficient in EMI/EMC testing & debugging and can provide practical / good engg design solutions 4. Proficient in overall H/W V&V competency, Hardware Validation, EMC, Electronics Reliability, Codes and Standards 5. Awareness of basic OPEX/Lean tools and technique/critical thinking.
