Senior IAM Business Operations Expert

Job role

As part of the recent Identity Access Management Target Operating Model (IAM TOM) implemented by Allianz Technology, the setup of the new IAM Business Operations function (IAM BizOps) is now to be operationalized. As AZT transformation progresses and IAM processes are set up, accelerating the setup for IAM Business Operations is essential. Therefore, AZT is searching for a Senior IAM Business Operations Expert to drive and steer the overall operations of the business function while also responsible for managing the financials and vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

•           Develop and execute operational strategies for IAM Business Operations that align with Allianz's company-wide objectives.

•           Drive growth through operational excellence and continuous improvement.

•           Identify essential competencies across Business Operations and implement targeted training and upskilling programs to enhance team capabilities.

•           Act as a change champion, driving and supporting change initiatives within the IAM operations.

 

IAM Operations & Compliance:

•           Oversee global enforcement and execution of IAM Target Operating Model (TOM).

•           Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements for IAM operations with close collaboration with AZT IAM Governance and Group IAM Business Operations.

 

Performance Management:

•           Manage the performance of the IAM Business Operations function globally, including the tracking and reporting of performance metrics.

•           Utilize data analytics to gain insights into areas for improvement.

•           Ensure that IAM services meet the needs of the business and its users effectively.

•           Implement improvements to optimize the efficiency, security, and performance of IAM operations.

•           Oversee the financials of IAM Business Operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and global cost management.

 

Vendor Management:

•           Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure service delivery and alignment with contractual agreements.

•           Negotiate vendor contracts to maximize cost efficiency and service quality.

 

Operational Excellence:

•           Promote best practices and continuous improvement in IAM operations.

•           Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in IAM technologies.

•           Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IAM services with business needs.

 

Risk Management:

•           Identify and mitigate risks associated with IAM operations.

•           Develop and implement risk management strategies and contingency plans.

•           Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to ensure the security and integrity of IAM systems.

 

Key requirements / skills / experience:

 

•           Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

•           Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Identity Access Management or IT operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.

•           Proven experience managing global IAM processes and operations.

•           Strong experience in financial management, including budgeting and forecasting.

•           Demonstrated expertise in vendor management and contract negotiation.

•           In-depth knowledge of Identity Access Management frameworks, standards, and compliance regulations.

•           Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

•           Ability to analyze performance metrics and implement operational improvements.

•           Financial acumen with experience managing global budgets and cost optimization.

•           Proficiency in vendor management, including SLA enforcement and contract negotiation.

 

 

Desired requirements / skills / experience

 

•           Previous experience leading global IAM operations for a large multinational organization.

•           Experience working with IAM technologies, tools, and security practices in large-scale environments.

•           Experience driving large-scale process improvements or transformation initiatives within IAM or IT operations.

•           Knowledge of regional regulatory requirements and standards related to IAM.

•           Knowledge of automation tools or processes to enhance operational efficiency.

•           Certification in IAM-related standards or frameworks (e.g., CISM, CISSP).
