Senior IC Applications Manager

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Lead & further develop a team of talented application engineers. Plan & manage efficient evaluation of prototype silicon, including electro-optical measurements. Develop product collateral such as datasheets, evaluation boards & evaluation software. Provide technical support (pre- and post-sale) to internal and external customers. Contribute to new product definitions in collaboration with other disciplines, internal and external customers. Collaborate with corporate cross-functional teams on advanced developments.

Education & Experience

B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering + 10 years of experience, or M.Sc. + 7 years of experience. At least 5 years of experience leading IC Applications teams. Hands-on experience with measurement of RFIC’s > 20GHz. Familiar with RF board level design & layout practices. Experience with creation of IC product collateral (datasheets, evaluation boards, etc.). Experience with measurement automation in python, C or similar. Experience with technical customer support. Good understanding of fiber optic communication systems & O/E components is required. Experience with IC product definition is preferred.

Skills & Other Requirements

Ability to perform hands-on RFIC measurements. Good understanding of S-parameters, transmission line structures, RF PCB design & layout practices. Basic programming skills in python, C or similar languages. Understanding of IM-DD PAM4 and coherent communication systems & signal processing is highly desirable. Basic knowledge of microcontroller, DSP, and/or FPGA programming is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent teamwork skills and strong independence. Self-motivated with innovative thinking.

Working Conditions

Job Grade offered for this position will depend on the candidate’s experience and qualifications. 40-hour work week, hybrid work, (min 3 days on-site) is an option. Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment, carrying out multiple projects at a time.
