Senior Implementation Consultant
ONESOURCE is designed to provide tax software solutions for multinational corporations and accounting professionals. ONESOURCE solutions cover a broad range of taxes including Direct Tax Compliance and reporting, Indirect Tax determination and Compliance, Tax Planning and Workflow Management.
About The Role
directing staff resources (both internal and external), evaluating results, creating documentation of newly created processes and managing overall engagement. Can scope out a project based on business requirements and achievable benefitsRecommends optimal system configuration and business processes based on industry best practices.Able to effectively facilitate meetings with project sponsors (Customer and Partner)Identifies and develops upsell opportunities within assigned customer projectsMentors implementation specialists and implementation consultants.Strong commitment to customer excellence, must have minimal to no customer escalations for services issues.Can lead technology decisions and facilitate and articulate alternatives and direction to Customer’s IT and Business Management.
Key Relationships:
Work with partners on professional services engagements to configure and implement ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Determination, including integration with SAP, cross-training onto ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Compliance;Engage with other teams within Thomson Reuters as appropriate to deliver end-to-end indirect tax solutions, in particular assisting sales in business development.Liaise with colleagues to assist with pre-sales activities e.g. assisting with software demonstrations or scoping/assessing new opportunities.Work with colleagues in a matrix organisation, developing key internal relationships with peers across the organisation.About You
Technical and Functional ExpertiseFunctionally proficient with ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Determination ANDTechnically and/or functionally proficient with at least 2 calling system and its associated ONESOURCE connector: Oracle, SAP, Microsoft, NetSuite, Workday, and others.Specialized Industry knowledge required:Deep experience in Indirect Tax Law (e.g VAT, GST), Research or ConsultingProject management skills and experience dealing with senior project leadershipAn understanding of end-to-end financial processes (i.e. OTC or PTP) and systemsExcellent interpersonal and written communication skills and experience of working with clients and project teamsExperience with process analysis, design, mapping and re-engineeringExperience with process/software gap analysis and resolutionExcellent organisational and analytical skills, with a methodical approach to work, problem solving and troubleshootingMust be creative, innovative, and flexible, with the ability to work in a matrix environmentMust possess strong cross team/group/org collaboration skills; ability to foresee and to analyse project risks, develop risk management plan and mitigate subsequent issues Must have high-powered analytical skills and the ability to understand concepts and situations that pass by many others Must have excellent communication skills, strong project management skills, and demonstrated success in adult learning and training principles/skillsMust have the ability to achieve objectives by successfully interacting and collaborating with:Management level team members in ONESOURCE Engineering, Product Management, Customer Support, and Sales.Management level resources at ONESOURCE Partners (KPMG, Deloitte, Accenture, Ryan, etc.)Proficiency in Microsoft OfficeDesired Skills and Experience:
Have SAP background, with experience in one or more of the following areas: ABAP, FICO, SD or MM, and be skilled in troubleshooting and resolving SAP system issuesExperience working with clients on similar consulting engagementsExperience with integrating third party enterprise tax products (e.g. Sabrix, Taxware and/or Vertex)Experience of scoping and managing technology implementations including work/fee estimates, solution design, deliverablesA working knowledge of Indirect Tax legislation, reporting requirements and processesEducation/ Certifications
A degree or professional qualification in Tax or Accounting (e.g. ACA, ACCA, ATT, CTA);Project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2 or PMP)#LI-KL1
