Senior Information Services Manager

Qualifications  

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required. Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Business Administration, is preferred.  5+ years IT/IS department management experience, preferably in a manufacturing organization. This is a hands-on technical and managerial role, strong technical (infrastructure and application support) background is necessary for the success of this role. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong ability to influence at different levels of the organization Ability to work effectively as part of a team Strong project management and organizational skills. Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Job Overview

Strategic and hands on IS leader for the HFS Industrial Fasteners division, delivering technology solutions to support business process efficiencies. Partners with business and IS leaders to identify business and technology objectives, associated information technology requirements, associated value, and develops the implementation plans to achieve defined goals. A strong hands-on technically savvy leader that can help grow/develop internal team and manage external service providers and internal Howmet central service teams. Owns and directs IS planning, strategy and budget management across 10+ manufacturing, distribution, and office locations. Collaborate with HFS Industrial business process owners and key decision makers across Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance and other functions to delivery world class information technology services.  Manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal and external providers. HFS Industrial Fasteners project manager for IS strategic projects.  Coordinate IS service delivery between the HFS IS Global staff, GBS IS Regional Groups, Local IS Managers, and business operations – drive implementation of Howmet, HFS Global and HFS Industrial Fasteners standard tools.  Work closely with the HFS IS Director to align IS strategy. Accountable for ensuring that the necessary IS controls within the business unit are in place and meets or exceeds the Company’s compliance and internal control requirements.

 

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver on HFS Industrial Fasteners Information Services/Technology strategy. Align IS, business, and other resources around the goals, objectives, and delivery of the strategy.  Managing the delivery of IS services across operating locations. Coordinate division IS, HFS business unit and Howmet centralized IS resources to deliver day to day services and projects. Meet budget/spending targets and metrics set by HFS Industrial Fasteners and HFS IS leadership. Deliver common information solutions in an environment that grew by acquisition and is historically decentralized. Manage simultaneous projects across multiple sites and disciplines with competing priorities and diverse business models. Guide HFS Industrial Fasteners IS strategy and project implementation across all locations. Provide operational leadership for the delivery of strategic initiatives, including ERP upgrades, adoption of cloud technology, CRM solutions, and project management for on time / on budget / on scope delivery.  Manage annual HFS Industrial Fasteners IS spend, including operating cost, chargebacks, and capital projects. Own the HFS Industrial Fasteners IS capital planning process; guide and approve all HFS Industrial Fasteners IS-related capital expenditures. Advocate and implement the Howmet Corporate IS strategy as established by the CIO Lead Team.  Leverage the use of centralized services across HFS Industrial Fasteners locations. Recommend and implement common systems solutions covering all locations and functions, drive HFS standard systems against Howmet, HFS, and HFS Industrial Fasteners standards. Drive the implementation of common processes across HFS Industrial locations, particularly in ERP, EDI, Reporting and Quality systems. Drive ERP systems consolidation onto HFS Industrial Fasteners common platforms (ERPLN);  Lead the IS function during inorganic growth/acquisition opportunities; manage strategic integration projects to implement standard Howmet and HFS infrastructure, financial and customer reporting, software tools, and compliance processes. Lead Industrial organization of employees, dedicated central resources, and contractors. Ensure the growth and development of the IS staff through continuous learning, development, succession planning, and exposure to diverse HFS/Howmet operations and projects. Provide input to evolving factory automation strategies; ensure IS participation in building and securing shop floor networks, process control systems, and manufacturing execution systems. Provides training to others in areas of assigned expertise. Build up knowledgebase and staff skills to support HFS Industrial standard suite of applications. Guide and teach IS team to use their knowledge to help provide business solutions. Complies with ITAR and IMEX requirements in areas of accountability. Ensures that all work activities are performed in accordance with established safety and environmental standards. Maintains full compliance with Company policies and procedures and conducts all activities in accordance with the Howmet Code of Conduct.
