Edgewater Federal Solutions is currently seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Engineer to provide support to the FLETC Enterprise IT Support Services contract located at FLETC Headquarters in Glynco, GA.
Responsibilities Review, test, and implement the IT security guidance received from FLETC and DHS. System security authorizations, System Test and Evaluations, Security Policies, Hardening Guidelines, NIST, and FLETC ISSO or CISO guidance, for all enterprise IT infrastructure devices and software.Monitoring Audit LogsSecurity Hardening of all Hardware/SoftwareInstallation of required security patchesInstallation of operating system and firmware patchesBackup and Recover ProceduresAssisting in development of continuity of operations plans and system security plansAssistance in Security Authorization TestingIdentifying and reporting security incidents during PWS performance to the Cyber Security Operations Center Participate in the customers change control processProvide recommendations for enterprise IT infrastructure security enhancements to current or future on prem and/or cloud based network, server, storage, and client infrastructure. Qualifications U.S. Citizenship is required per contract to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearanceAt least five years of detailed technical experience in system security engineering or related field within the last seven yearsThorough understanding of cyber security and its relation to system hardware/software design and architecture while being aligned with a Risk Management Framework
Able to provide extensive technical support experience while prioritizing system incidents, projects and Tasks
Ability to provide technical cyber security assistance and resolutions to CIO teams to ensure the security architecture of IT systems are functional and secure
IAM-III certification (CISSP or GSLC) is required
Desired:
Experience in FLETC or another DHS agencyCISMSecurity+ CEH Possess an active secret security clearance
