DevOps Engineer
 

We are currently searching for Cloud DevOps Engineer to join the team of a multinational global enterprise IT solutions company. Role Outline:

As a DevOps Engineer you’ll be responsible for providing both technical support and leadership abilities in the creation and delivery of technology solutions designed to meet customers’ business needs.

A cloud DevOps engineer is Responsible for the development and operational aspects of a company's cloud computing infrastructure. They work with developers to ensure that applications are deployed and operated in a cloud environment

Candidates must be UK based, and be eligible for SC Clearance.
 

Responsibilities:

Conducts investigations and tests of complex software systems to enhance performance or to investigate and resolve matters of significance.Reviews completion and implementation of technical products to ensure success and timeliness.Evaluates vendor capabilities on projects to provide required products or services.Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.Provides technical consultation to other organizations; interacts with senior customer personnel and internal senior management.Provides the customer base with first level support.

Must have been using Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins & AWS actively in the last 2 years.

Experience

A background in automating application deployment and configuration managementAutomation / Configuration management tools experience, i.e., RedHat, Puppet, Chef, AnsibleKnowledge of IAC technologies such as Cloudformation or TerraformStrong Linux Sysadmin skillsContainerisation and orchestration technologies (Docker & Kubernetes)Good knowledge of internet communication concepts and protocols - TCP/IP, DNS, HTTPExperience of deploying Continuous Integration solutionsAn awareness of security considerations in web application deploymentMonitoring / Logging aka ELK, Prometheus / Grafana etcStrong AWS knowledge - EC2, EKS, RDS, Aurora, networking, cost management.
