CTG is seeking to fill a Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Automation & System Design opening for our client in New York. Location: Remote Duration: 12 months Scope of Responsibilities: The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for independent execution and oversight of infrastructure design, development, and technical solutions within the organization. This includes ensuring solutions meet or exceed business needs and ensuring high standards in documentation, system design, and security. Primary Responsibilities: Collaborate with technology management, senior engineers, and support teams to design, develop, and implement technical solutions. Conduct infrastructure reviews, implement designs, create architectural documentation, and define policies, standards, and testing strategies. Independently interact with business partners of varying levels to ensure clarity of issues and elicit business requirements. Coordinate vendor interactions and manage vendor resources as needed. Mentor less experienced engineers, technicians, and integrators; review documentation and proposals from junior staff. Continuously expand knowledge of Financial Services trends, technologies, and industry best practices. Promote adherence to industry standards and best practices. Maintain in-depth knowledge of banking applications, systems, and vendor technologies and services. Understand and follow the company’s risk and regulatory standards, escalating risk-related issues when necessary. Contribute to maintaining the company's internal control standards, implementing audit points, and addressing issues raised by regulators. Perform other related duties as assigned. Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities: Mentor and guide less experienced engineers and technical staff. Review proposals and changes suggested by junior team members to ensure quality and alignment with best practices. Education and Experience Required: A combined minimum of 6 years of higher education and/or professional work experience in systems design, management, and/or architecture. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, Ansible, Pipelines, and Automation. Education and Experience Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. At least 6 years of professional experience in a technical engineering role, with expertise in infrastructure design technologies, data management, system development, or complex application design. Ability to translate complex business and functional requirements into high-quality technical solutions using industry-standard approaches. Advanced technical, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Deep expertise in industry/vendor technologies and strong understanding of system interactions. Ability to independently and collaboratively work within teams. Skilled in effective facilitation and requirement gathering from diverse stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively across teams. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
