Job summary

This Bengaluru-based Senior Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for maintaining high levels of performance, uptime, and overall integrity of DigiCert’s global infrastructure.

 

What you will do

Oversee VMware/vCenter environments, managing 13 vCenters and 300 hosts to ensure high availability and performance. Administer backup and recovery solutions using Data Domain or Veeam, ensuring data integrity and fast recovery times. Manage compute infrastructure to maintain reliability, performance, and scalability. Continuously monitor infrastructure systems and applications to detect issues early and minimize downtime. Perform regular system performance analysis and capacity planning to ensure the infrastructure scales with the needs of the business.

 

What you will have

10+ years of experience managing enterprise-level infrastructure, with an emphasis on VMware. 6+ years of experience administering enterprise VMware clustered infrastructure. 6+ years of experience as a backup administrator (Data Domain or Veeam experience preferred). 6+ years of experience with Linux environments (Red Hat, CentOS, OEL). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex technical challenges. A Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field (B.E., B.Tech, B.Sc. Computer Science, BCA) or 6+ years of relevant work experience in systems administration, infrastructure management, backup, or virtualization technologies. Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment. Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills. In-depth knowledge of system, network, storage, and security design principles.

Nice to have

Experience with Splunk administration. Experience administering Dell PowerFlex infrastructure. Experience with DNS (BlueCat, BIND). Experience managing digital certificates. Experience with load balancers, such as F5. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OCI, GCP).
