The Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit in CGI is a true IT Systems Integrator. We are looking for a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and support a multi-site VMware Cloud Foundation platform. In this role, you will manage and maintain a cloud-like hosting environment for clients operating Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). If you have a strong background in VMware and NSX-T and are passionate about ensuring smooth platform operations, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
• Platform Support: Manage a multi-site VMware Cloud Foundation platform with a strong integration with NSX-T, ensuring performance, security, and availability standards are met.
• Tenant Management: Support hosted tenants using the Aria suite of technologies, with a focus on Aria Automation as the primary interface.
• Core Service Management:
o Manage Infoblox enterprise DNS and IP Address Management (IPAM).
o Support Hashicorp Vault for Key Management Services (KMS) and Thales Luna Hardware Security Modules (HSM).
o Administer DataDomain backup and recovery solutions.
o Configure Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama management.
o Deploy Trend Deep Security solutions.
o Oversee Omnissa Horizon Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
o Manage F5 load balancing services.
• Platform-Level Services: Create and maintain golden images for Windows and Linux environments; manage Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) and Linux update repositories.
• Collaboration & Documentation: Participate in design discussions, document processes and procedures, and liaise with clients and internal teams for effective communication and issue resolution.
• Out-of-Hours Support: Provide support during out-of-hours as needed to ensure platform availability and perform maintenance tasks.
• Experience: Proven experience in managing VMware Cloud Foundation and NSX-T environments.
• Technical Skills:
o Expertise in Aria Automation and the Aria suite.
o Experience with Infoblox, Hashicorp Vault, Thales Luna HSM, DataDomain, Palo Alto, Trend Deep Security, and F5 load balancers.
o Proficiency in managing Omnissa Horizon VDI solutions.
o Experience in creating and managing golden images, WSUS, and Linux update repositories.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Communication: Clear and effective communication skills with a focus on technical documentation.
• Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Flexibility: Willingness to provide out-of-hours support as needed.
