ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Inland Marine Adjuster, you will provide prompt, fair and effective Inland Marine claims service for insureds and claimants through the use of phone and correspondence. This position will primarily focus on Legal Liability Inland Marine lines including Motor Truck Cargo, Contingent Cargo, Logistics, Warehouse and Riggers Legal Liability. However, the position will not be limited to these lines. Core lines of business include Commercial Property, Builder’s Risk, Contractor’s Equipment and Motor Truck Cargo Legal Liability; plus various other specialty Marine products.

Conduct 24-hour contact with insureds and claimants, including taking recorded statements to ensure clear and timely information exchange.Maintain detailed, chronological file notes in the system to support transparency and continuity.Advise supervisors immediately of severe claims or those exceeding settlement authority.Complete and submit all required reporting forms daily in accordance with company procedures.Customer Focus & Teamwork
Assist in training other personnel and foster a collaborative environment with supervisors, peers, agents, and the public.Participate as a thought partner by giving and receiving constructive feedback and supporting innovation and process improvement.Direct attorneys, independent adjusters, and vendors to ensure effective resolution of complex claims.Flexibility
Attend mediations and settlement conferences as needed, adapting to evolving claim circumstances.Adjust claim strategies based on new information or changing conditions during the life of the claim.Support cross-functional initiatives and respond to underwriting inquiries regarding risk hazards identified during investigations.Delivers Results
Investigate claims thoroughly, including coverage and liability determinations, to drive timely and accurate resolutions.Evaluate and negotiate settlements, including appropriate denials, ensuring compliance with policy terms and legal standards.Initiate subrogation and manage salvage disposition in line with established procedures.Technical & Job Excellence
Evaluate estimates and bills for accuracy and relevance to coverage and claim type.Maintain appropriate diary schedules and reserve levels throughout the claim lifecycle.Strictly adhere to claim best practices and operate within assigned authority levels.Accountability
Ensure accurate entry of claim reserves and payments.Establish and maintain proper reserving practices to reflect claim exposure.Take ownership of claims from initiation through closure, ensuring all actions are documented and justified.Qualifications

• Base Salary Range: $72,000 to 136,000
• Eligible to participate in annual discretionary bonus.

The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
