Job Description

This Paris based role reports to the Brand and Strategic Insights Director and will be a key member of the diverse and high performing European Insights and Analytics team. Though the role will have EU responsibilities, given it’s Paris location, this role will also be expected to form close ties with France & Benelux marketing teams..

The Insights and Analytics team sits within the EU marketing function, helping to measure and optimize marketing investments for both Visa and our clients. The team’s additional remit is to support adjacent functions such as product, sales, consulting and corporate communications to enable decision making and customer engagement through insight and data-led storytelling.

The successful candidate will leverage their expertise to influence and inspire both internal and external audiences, demonstrating an in-depth understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive dynamics. By providing forward-thinking perspectives and innovative solutions, they will ensure that Visa remains at the forefront of industry developments and continues to deliver exceptional value to its customers and clients.

At this person’s disposal will be a broad roster of best-in-class insight vendors, skilled data scientists who work with Visa’s rich, transactional database and Visa global insights and analytics teams based in the US from whom they can download insights and best practice from other regions.

 

Key responsibilities:

Conduct market and customer research to inform actions relating to Visa’s strategic priorities.Transform inquiries business inquiries and observed needs into research goals, advising on the optimal methodologies to acheive relevant insight signals.Be an insights champion informing not just actions within marketing but also functions such as product, sales, strategy and corporate communications.Manage research projects, including stakeholder buy in, hypotheses, design and insights socialisation.Synthesise insights to create compelling executive summaries which connect to action.Own insights on ‘Affluent‘ consumer segment for EU and disseminate knowledgeEffectively manage external vendors and RFP’s for projects you work on with visible acccuntability for thoughful briefs, design and storytelling..Constantly look for new innovative insights techniques to trial in the business.Support and champion a culture of insight led business decision making within Visa

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

 

 

 

Qualifications

Significant experience in similar client or agency side role. Consulting experience preferred.
Highly developed research experience including strong understanding of qualitative (e.g. ethnography) and quantitative techniques (e.g. segmentation, concept testing, conjoint).
Effective data-led storyteller with experience in generating insights that shape marketing strategy and planning. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Rigorous attention to detail and defensible insights
Knowledge and ideally experience within financial services or payments industry
Strong commercial acumen, sales aptitude and pro-active relationship builder
Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams, managing complexity and concurrent projects. Comfortable collaborating in complex organizational structures.
Proficient in MS applications including Excel and Power Point
Relevant graduate degree preferred
