The Senior Instructional Designer Role
Qlik is looking for an innovative and highly skilled Senior Instructional Designer to join their Global Sales Enablement team to support their Sales Organization. The Senior Instructional Designer will play a critical role in designing learning solutions that align to our internal customers’ needs as well as our enablement and go-to-market strategies. This team member will partner with fellow enablement colleagues, sales, product marketing, product management, and other cross-functional business partners. Candidates should be well-versed in adult learning principles and domain experts in driving performance-based outcomes. Seeking someone who can move at the speed of the business and who is consultative and forward-thinking.
This team member, in partnership with colleagues, will be responsible for the development and execution of global programs such as sales onboarding, sales kickoffs, solution training, sales methodology reinforcement, among other key initiatives. Objectives for this role will be to uncover ways to ramp our sales organization faster, shorten sales cycles, and increase win rates and productivity by improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our sales teams through engaging learning experiences.
Reporting to the Global Head of Sales Enablement and Effectiveness, the ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the development and delivery of sales enablement training services in support of enablement, sales, and organizational strategies. We’re seeking someone who sets a high bar for the quality of their work and at their core strives to make a positive and measurable impact across the organization.
Here’s how you’ll be making an impact:
Own training projects end-to-end through the design lifecycleSupport internal customers with defining learning objectives and selecting the appropriate learning modality for training content development based on the need(s): in-person classroom, virtual instructor-led, e-learning (SCORM), and video among othersAuthor and create immersive learning experiences through e-learning courses, videos, instructor and student guides, scripts, storyboards, job aides or quick reference guidesCreate and support sales and technical certifications through various learning modalities (e-learning, live and virtual)Report and measure ongoing enablement services’ progress and impact through KPIs / metrics as well as provide recommendations for further adoption, reinforcement, and sustainment initiatives to ensure maximum ROI of enablement initiatives and achieve key organizational and sales desired outcomesPartner with broader enablement team to develop, deploy, and maintain the onboarding / ramp program, which builds new hire competence, integrates them into Qlik’s culture, facilitates relationship building, and reduces time to productivity
We’re looking for a teammate with:
5-7 years working as an Instructional Designer with expertise in developing training content following ADDIE or a similar frameworkBackground in supporting B2B sales teams within technology organizationsA highly strategic viewpoint of enablement and the key imperatives of the disciplineDeep understanding of adult learning principles and how to create highly effective and engaging learning content that improves the likelihood of longer-term retentionStrong project management skillsAbility to conduct needs assessmentsPractitioner of Adult Learning PrinciplesKnowledge in creating digital content and e-learning courses utilizing design and authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, Articulate 360 (Storyline & Rise), Camtasia, PowerPoint, and similarExperience designing and developing highly interactive e-learning courses and multimedia content.Proficient in graphic and web design as well as video editingCollaborates well in teams and with sales and technical leadersSeeking someone who is innovative, brings established learning best practices and eager to be a part of a growing strategic enablement teamAbility to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines and comfortable in environments with shifting prioritiesA think global with an act local mindset with experience working with global teams to meet unique needs when neededAbility to create professional video-based training, well-skilled in graphic design (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator), and strong in web design is strongly preferredBachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design or Adult Learning Education

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $140,000 – 150,000 per year. Final compensation offered by Qlik will be based on factors such as the candidate’s location, job-related skills, education, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Qlik offers a comprehensive benefits package.
