Senior Instructional Designer - Mechanical Design - Remote

The Senior Instructional Designer is responsible for designing and developing learning content that delivers performance outcomes. This role will lead design projects and will be expected to direct workflow for external instructional designers, curriculum developers and subject matter experts. Strong knowledge on a variety of learning modalities is required. What you will do:

Leverage high impact instructional design methodology to create engaging learning content and interactive learning experiences aligned to business results Develop solutions that create powerful targeted learning experiences in a variety of modalities: virtual classrooms, eLearning, video, learning pathway, playlists, instructor-led Contributes to the evaluation and selection of learning technologies for the organization Lead Instructional Design process in the organization Manage multiple internal and external design projects and resources
Responsible for the management of multiple simultaneous projects directing the work of internal and external resources Leverage standard learning project management practices and tools including: charter, scope, schedule, budget, risk and dashboard Accountable for projects to be delivered on-time, within scope and may include budgetary responsibilities.
Partner with leaders, sponsors and subject matter experts to identify learning opportunities that drive business results Produce needs analysis, learner personas that deliver innovative, performance-based learning outcomes Identify opportunities to leverage learning and collaborative technologies to enhance the learner experience

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Learning, Education, or HR 5+ Years of experience in the design and development of VILT, eLearning, micro-learning, and ILT Ability to travel up to 20%

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

Leveraging various modalities of design: Virtual Instructor Led, eLearning, Micro-learning, Pathway Knowledge of Agile design Experience working with mechanical design or engineering teams HVAC Industry experience or similar
