Senior Instructor

The Senior Instructor will serve as a program mentor and will be responsible for training instruction, the delivery of the instructor development course (IDC), tracking progress, continual mentoring, and development of new hire/onboarding instructors for the Overseas Protective Operations Training (OPOT) Program in Amman, Jordan. The Senior Instructor reports directly to the Training Managers.

Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

Provide direct instruction as required under protective operations, guard force, tactical skills, and firearms training deliveries. Monitor student performance and provide one-on-one remedial training as required. Conduct lecture, range, and practical exercise events. Ensure that all equipment, weapons, ammunition, and materials are on-hand for training. Ensure completion and accuracy of all course documentation requirements.  Provide mentorship during onboarding and processing of new hire personnel in the following areas: review and acknowledgement of training standards and regulations; review, acknowledgement, and study of training SOPs common to all. Familiarize new instructors with AES instructional and administrative procedures, as well as provide a base-line evaluation of skill level. Facilitates instructor growth by using knowledge and experience to facilitate learning and professional development.  Mentor instructor staff by providing guidance, advice, feedback and support. Observe and evaluate training deliveries and advises instructors in maintaining standards and improving quality and compliance of training.  Observe conduct of training on classroom, range, and practical exercise procedures to ensure quality assurance, contract compliance, and continuity of delivery. Advise training management team of recommended curriculum updates. Promote positive work culture with an emphasis on creating an environment that supports professional development and growth  May be required to attend strategic meetings, committees or serve on special projects to provide input, advice and advocacy for the betterment of the program.

$68.24 - 70.68 per hour
