Senior Insurance Manager
Senior Insurance Manager Are you an experienced Insurance professional who has managed the Insurance tasks of a regulated insurance or reinsurance company? Are you interested in growing the scope of your knowledge and capabilities in a role which will provide you with exposure across the range of risk financing, finance, underwriting, claims, compliance and risk management functions to support the client corporate risk management lead and the Board of Directors of the Captive? If so, this might be the role for you. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Dublin office. What the day will look like The Senior Insurance Manager will work on both Client Service and Management sides: Client Service (75%) + You will lead an Aon Captive Management team to deliver top quality service to several of our captive insurance clients and reinsurance companies. You will be responsible for the following tasks, for a number of our captive insurance/ reinsurance clients: + Acting as Client Relationship Lead, leading a client service team to ensure the delivery of high-quality captive management and advisory services + Lead, plan and manage the Insurance function requirements + Ensure that all client regulatory and legal issues are complied with. + Prepare high quality reports and present to the Board of Directors + Coordinate the technical insurance aspects of any projects and initiatives and drive all assigned projects to conclusion. + Identify solutions to meet client needs + Proactively seek out revenue growth opportunities. Management (25%) + You will participate in our Insurance Practice leadership team who are passionate about maintaining our service excellence in Insurance services to our captive clients, supporting with the below: + Development of talent + Allocations of resources to clients + Resource and hiring planning + Training, development and need for specialist expertise + Systems advancements. Skills and experience that will lead to success The ideal Senior Insurance Manager will have the following skills: + Strong client servicing skills + Relevant 3rd level qualification and/or qualified Insurance professional with a strong relevant post-qualified experience + Extensive experience within a regulated insurance company/reinsurance company/captive insurance company or similar regulated financial services entity + Solid understanding of the regulatory and compliance environment which governs insurance and reinsurance companies + Solid understanding of the principles of risk finance + Effective communications and problem solving skills + Ideally people management skills (including managing workload, KPIs, motivating the team, mentoring, etc), but not mandatory.
