Job Description

Based in Brussels and reporting directly to the Head of Group Insurance, you will provide support and expert advice on specific insurance and claim related matters with the ultimate objective to optimise Eurofins’ global insurance programmes.

Underwriting: Conduct insurance renewals, ensuring timely completion and optimal coverage.This includes but is not limited to:Monitoring industry trends and regulatory changes impacting Eurofins’ activitiesAnalysing insurance data to identify trends and cost-saving opportunitiesLeading negotiation of favourable insurance terms and pricingFormalising and continuously optimizing the renewal processClaims: Manage all aspects of insurance claims, from filing to resolution.M&A: Conduct insurance due diligence reports in relation to acquisitionsAdmin: Maintain clear and accurate insurance programmes and claims documentation (summaries, certificate, premium & invoicing follow up, claim reporting, etc.)Ensure global and local compliance with global insurance programmes (and respective local underlying policies) in conjunction with global placing and servicing brokers.Risk Management: Recommend, implement and monitor loss-prevention initiatives to minimise Eurofins’ exposureActively manage stakeholder relationship both (i) with internal stakeholders across the Eurofins network of companies to provide best-in-class service in respect of insurance and claim matters, and (ii) external stakeholders such as brokers, insurers, loss adjusters, captive manager, etc.

Qualifications

Personal skills:

Good knowledge of the insurance industry and insurance policy wording, and experience with international insurance programmes.Excellent communication skills: Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with both internal and external stakeholders. You'll need to explain complex insurance concepts to non-insurance professionals and negotiate effectively with brokers and carriers.Strong analytical skills: Analysing insurance data is crucial for identifying trends, cost-saving opportunities, and potential areas for captive participation.Problem-solving skills: From managing claims to mitigating risks, this role demands the ability to identify and solve problems efficiently.Attention to detail: Accuracy is paramount when dealing with insurance policies and procedures. You'll need a keen eye for detail to ensure everything is correct and compliant.Relationship management skills: Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal departments, brokers, carriers, and potentially captive providers is essential for success.Tech savvy with knowledge of Excel and other Business Intelligence toolsAbility to work in an autonomous manner in a rapidly changing organisationAvailable to travel 

Education:

Master’s degree or equivalentRIMAP or ARM certified is a plus

Language skills:

Fluent in English (written and spoken)Any additional language is an asset

Previous experience:

5 years minimum of experience in insurance (insurers / brokers / insurance risk managers)
