Senior Interior Designer - Workplace projects
About this role

This internationally renowned Australian Architecture and Interiors practice is seeking a passionate and highly experienced Senior Interior Designer to join their award-winning interiors team, to work on exciting Workplace projects.
The successful candidate will be passionate about the future of work and the role of design in enriching our work lives, as demonstrated through proven design excellence, and thought leadership across workplaces and commercial buildings. Broader interior design expertise across other sectors such as hospitality and demonstrated workplace strategy capability, will be looked upon favorably.

Key Responsibilities

Cultivating existing and new client relationships Bring high-end design solutions for commercial workplace projects from space-planning and concept design through to completion on site Ability to work on multiple projects, varying in scale and stages Contribute to output in Revit, Enscape, and Sketch Up Coordinate with consultants and trades on-site Analytical in approach when evaluating progress or obstacles as well as providing solutions to stay on schedule Mentor and guide junior staff Collaborate with colleagues to promote an interdisciplinary design approach and philosophy Design and thought leadership ensuring consistently outstanding outcomes While Melbourne-based, it is expected that this role will work collaboratively with other studios and on projects outside of Melbourne Skills and Experience Relevant qualification in Interior Design or Architecture 8+ years of professional relevant experience Ability to lead a 2000-3000sqm project both autonomously and as a part of a team with support from Director or Associate Director level Exceptional aesthetic and design capability – able to resolve design issues creatively, with speed, and in a collaborative manner Established track record, proactive and hands-on approach to workplace design Strong communication skills Competency in leading teams, collaborating effectively and mentoring emerging talent Proven interpersonal skills – adept at nurturing positive and professional studio culture Equally comfortable working across office tenancy design and instrumental in the design of commercial office buildings, in collaboration with the architecture team Knowledge and experience of building and construction sequences and contracts Exemplar time management and organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects Strategic and innovative outlook - seeks out effective applications of emerging design technologies, optimizes work methodologies, upskills staff to ensure continued design excellence and commercial success Strong knowledge of Revit, Sketchup and EnscapeBenefits and Culture
