Bell is seeking H-1 Upgrade Senior Intermediate Service Representatives (ISR’s) to support MALS-39.

The Senior Intermediate Service Representatives will support Bell’s H-1 Upgrade (AH-1Z and UH-1Y) platforms for the purpose of providing on-site liaison and maintenance instruction services to assist MALS personnel in becoming proficient with intermediate repair, restoration, inspection, and return to service for critical H-1 components. This level of support is expected to increase local repairs, improve component beyond capability maintenance (BCM) rejections rates and improve component repair turn-around time (TAT) that supports the reduction of maintenance material cost and assists with improving readiness.

Duties to include providing technical guidance, instruction, technique, and training to resolve a broad array of discrepancies that supports and returns to service critical H1 components. The selected candidate must have a strong intermediate level background in H-1 (YZ) aircraft Mechanical and/or Avionics systems. This position will be based CONUS at Camp Pendleton, CA.

What you’ll be doing as a Senior Intermediate Service Representatives :

Providing system-specific technical briefings to MALS personnelApplicant is responsible for assisting military logisticians, maintenance, and Field Support Representatives (FSR’s) in developing and executing materiel and process improvements.Candidate will interface with Bell program management to coordinate, advise, and act as a consultant regarding supply maintenance planning, test and support equipment, transportation, and handling (PHST), facilities, data, and computer resources, and expediting material from other areas that concern MALS support.Providing on-site academic instruction and on-equipment proficiency training on the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting techniques, and operation pertaining to the routine maintenance, inspection, adjustment, repair and Built in Test of prime systems and equipmentProvide ad-hoc training and prepared training materials as requiredAssisting, training, and demonstrating the best methods of installations, modifications and use of retrofit kits, with heavy emphasis on safety precautionsProviding advice and coordinate with the customer, Logistics Support Representatives (LSR’s) and/or vendors on supply support problems, which require manufacturer and/or cross-reference of manufacturer-to-Navy part numbers.Coordinate pre-deployment planning for the provisioning of personnel, facilities, SE, and services for supported squadrons.Screen appropriate Marine Aviation Logistics Support Program (MALSP) and Individual Material Readiness List (IMRL) allowances to ensure they are tailored to support the quantity and type aircraft assigned to the MAG squadrons.Maintain liaison with supported squadron Maintenance Material Control (MATCON) Centers and the Aviation Support Division (ASD) and ensure adequate communications exist between the MALS Maintenance Work Centers and SupplyAssist squadrons in obtaining engineering technical assistanceAid in ensuring an aggressive and effective management program is in place to control cannibalization of aeronautical equipment. To the maximum extent possible, ensure selective cannibalization actions are planned to prevent aircraft from being in a non-flyable status for more than 30 consecutive days.Provide status and metrics to Bell and/or USG as required or requestedParticipate in on-site Hazardous Material Report/EI evaluationsRendering technical assistance to resolve difficult and unusual aircraft system anomaliesAnalysis of aircraft system anomalies and recommending the supported activities of changes to maintenance, inspection, and training programs designed to improve the quality of aircraft system supportTechnical Assistance, liaison to control, disseminate, and request data through which technical information and engineering data related to aircraft and operational procedures available at the Contractor’s facility, can quickly be disseminated to MALS personnel as requiredSupporting and attending Logistics/Technical support meetings, briefings, and telecoms as directed by Bell and the USGThe capability of traveling to any area of operation when required for extended periodsAll contractor personnel with access to unclassified information systems, including e-mail, shall have at a minimum a favorable Tier 3 (T3) investigation

Skills You Bring To this Role:

Preference for recent active-duty USMC H-1 upgrade experience (Officer/Enlisted), specifically in Mechanical, Hydraulics, Avionics, Electrical Systems, at the O or I levelFamiliarity with Marine Aviation Logistics Squadrons and supporting H-1 aircraft squadrons. Capacity to rapidly learn, access, and use Bell’s SAP inventory and MRP systems in the conduct of the position. Working knowledge of Naval Aviation Logistics Command Management Information System (NALCOMIS) and Relational Supply (R-Supply) maintenance and supply IT systems Personal computer proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and database applications is required. Excellent oral and writing skills are required.FAA AP license, FCC General Radio Telephone License or equivalent military experience is preferred.

5 years of extensive maintenance experience with Bell H-1 (AH-1W, UH-1Y, AH-1Z) military aircraftRequired to obtain and hold a Secret level security clearance.
