The Senior Internal Controls Analyst role requires In-depth knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, COSO Framework, PCAOB Auditing Standards, and internal controls. In this role, you’ll identify risks to the financial reporting processes and supporting technologies, supporting control owners in technology/finance, and designing new controls.
About the Role
Regularly engage with SOX auditors to manage scope and clarify design of internal controls in finance and IT general controlsWork with leadership to design and implement financial and IT General Controls in alignment with SOX requirements and industry best practicesConduct periodic risk assessments to ensure the effectiveness of financial and IT general controls and compliance with regulationsWork closely with IT and business teams to close identified deficienciesOwn and execute the quarterly control owner certification processOwn and maintain the inventory of key financial dataHelp to maintain inventory of key controls and other data maintenance tasks within the SOX tool (Wdesk)Stay current with changes in compliance regulations and update controls and processes accordinglyHelping to understand the tech stack and design controls for a variety of technologies (end-User applications, AWS, Azure, GCP, Windows OS/AD, MS-SQL, RDS, MongoDB, Linux/Unix, OpenEdge ABL, C#, Lambdas, Kubernetes, Kafka, etc.)About You
Bachelor’s or master’s in accounting or information systems background with financial systems/process experienceCertified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or working towards certificationTwo to four years of public accounting experience performing financial or IT general controls testing for a public companyPrior IT experience is preferred but not requiredExperience evaluating/testing end-to-end accounting cyclesStrong verbal and written communication, organizational, time management, project management, and analytical skillsStrong willingness to learnPrior experience owning the assessment/design of complex technology environments and/or business processesWhat You’ll Get
