As the first in market in market, advertisers can use real-time viewing behaviour to reach consumers in new and innovative ways! Samsung’s Advertising Sales Team operates at the intersection of display advertising and connected televisions offering advertising solutions with the goal of helping our advertisers reach their target audiences across our TV platform and beyond. Bringing to bear our wealth of outstanding first party data, this is a new initiative at Samsung with the potential for substantial growth and opportunity.
Samsung Ads (part of ESBO - European Service Business Organisation) is responsible for identifying, evaluating and determining new opportunities on top of the global footprint of European Samsung Smart TVs and Mobile devices. The EU advertising team is working to bring value to partners, advertisers, and agencies by providing outstanding insights into content consumption in the changing media landscape.
Role and Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities
You will be responsible for evangelising the advanced TV advertising business and building the client base for the Samsung Ads European business.
Initiate, structure and negotiate high impact partnerships with client direct content partners.
Build relationships with high-potential advertisers and agencies, presenting Samsung's brand-new marketing solutions and leading longterm strategy plans to senior collaborators at major brands and their agencies.
Build, prioritise, manage and communicate an active pipeline of brands.
Proven track record of exceeding sales targets as a trusted adviser through data driven approach.
Leverage communication and relationship-building skills to develop new business.
Educate new advertisers on the benefits of advanced TV and persuade them to shift their marketing strategies from traditional media.
Analysis of Proprietary Samsung TV data to create compelling sales insights that drive revenue outcomes.
Build compelling proposals and strategies for new and existing clients.
Leadership across agency patch for developing key relationships with collaborators
What we need for this role
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
Outstanding multi-tasking and teamwork capabilities
Proven experience in full lifecycle sales at a media-owner, technology, or media-agency with experience in TV advertising, digital media, and advertising platforms.
Strong connections within the international London based agencies at comms, planning, buying and account level
Strong relationships within Publicis and Omnicom agencies
Strong understanding of programmatic buying and agency marketplaces
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with senior collaborators within agencies
Experience building a book of business and managing against quotas
Understanding of digital media and the online advertising industry
Independent, self-starter; comfortable with ambiguity, and resilient. Thrives in a team environment
Impeccable communication skills and the ability to provide comprehensive advertising solutions to prospective clients
BA/BS required
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with an entrepreneurial mind-set, taking ownership in crafting opportunities for primary ownership across their agency patch.
What does success look like?
Meeting individual quarterly sales quota by driving revenue sales
Showcasing strong internal relationships and collaborative team work within Sales Teams and other customer facing teams (e.g Client Solutions and Insights & Analytics)
Going above and beyond to creatively drive innovative solutions for clients in order to generate new streams of revenue.
Crafting compelling media and strategy plans using Samsung Ads range of Ad Solutions to achieve important metrics for clients
Delivering customised and engaging presentations to an excellent standard for pitch meetings and responding to client briefs
Building a new book of contacts of agency/client patch to expand Samsung customer base and excelling existing relationships
Generating new spending accounts & upselling existing spending accounts from agency/client patch
Internal contribution for new ideas to drive solutions across the business
Confidence in using Samsung internal sales platforms, such as Salesforce and additional platforms such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator
The interview process
Three stage interview with:
Head of International Agencies (Lydia Parker) 3x Panel Interview - Wider Samsung Ads leads Two Part Presentation on Samsung Ads Solutions and Agency Engagement to Head of International Agencies and another senior member of the Samsung Ads Sales division.
Additional interview steps may be introduced if required.
