Inventory Planner – Nutrition Manufacturing
Abbott Casa Grande Nutrition Plant is looking for an Inventory Planner. The Inventory Planner position is within the Production and Material Planning team. The successful candidate will have high analytical capabilities and the ability to make data-based decisions. This person will be a self-motivated individual capable of understanding their role in the plant operation and prioritizing their work accordingly. This person must also have a customer service mentality and exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).

What You’ll Work On
Full ownership of material planning, purchasing and control of direct materials (raw ingredients and packaging) and/or indirect materials.Ensuring all materials are on site to support the production schedule.Ensuring proper procedures are followed in the purchase of direct and indirect materials per corporate purchasing policies.Coordination of materials to be transferred to sister sites.Production batch reconciliation and closure.Managing plant inventory for assigned area to maintain a lean, accurate and sufficient inventory based on production needs.Identifying creative solutions for addressing inventory replenishment gaps by working with suppliers, other departments, and division partners.Work in conjunction with the finance group to identify, address and evaluate impact of distressed inventory; lead actions to mitigate risk inventory.Manage supplier relationships and work directly with suppliers to ensure their deliveries are on time and in full.Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure inventory accuracy and cycle count integrity.Obtain SME level knowledge across several plant inventory and ERP systems (AMAPS, MITS, SAP and CAMBAR) and understand their interactions and interdependencies.Seek improvements in the purchasing process as related to cost, process, cycle time, and customer service.Act as backup to the Production Planner (Infor scheduling, lead daily meetings, work with division planning, and any other tasks needed).Support other plant projects and initiatives as needed.Shift: Monday – Friday; 7am – 4pm – on site
Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree requiredMinimum of 3 years of experience in a planning or purchasing roleHigh aptitude for learning ERP systemsHigh level Microsoft Office capabilityFinancial planning and analysis experience preferredWill support coaching and development of peersPreferred QualificationsIndependent, Self Starter, Excellent communication skills but written and verbal.Apply Now

The base pay for this position is $60,000.00 – $120,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
