Senior Investment Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Investment Consultant to join our Investments team at Mercer. This role will be based in Auckland. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

In this role as an Investment Consultant you will use strong technical knowledge and consulting skills to develop and deliver customised investment advice/solutions to both new and existing clients

We will count on you to:

Provide tailored investment advice to clients, focusing on strategic asset allocation, portfolio construction, manager selection, and performance monitoring.

Develop and support investment solutions for clients who choose to delegate management to Mercer.

Drive business growth through market leadership and actively pursue new and recurring work from clients and prospects.

Build and maintain strong client service disciplines within the delegated solutions business.

Offer investment support to the wider business, including acting as a QFE Advisor and collaborating with Workplace Savings clients and Mercer Super Trust employers.

What you need to have:

Bachelor’s or Honours degree.

7+ years of relevant experience in investment consulting or a related field.

Proven client relationship management skills with the ability to effectively promote Mercer to clients and prospects.

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Advanced knowledge of investments, both theoretical and practical, along with an understanding of issues impacting key stakeholders, including fund sponsors.

Experience in managing complex client relationships and delivering customized investment solutions.
