Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Investment Risk Specialist
In this role, you will:
Develop, execute, and maintain lending valuation modelAdvise leadership on lending portfolio riskPerform complex activities related to assessing risk exposuresMeasure and manage fiduciary and investment riskLead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges to proactively identify, assess, measure, monitor, control, and report on significant fiduciary and investment risksDeliver solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require the most complex quantitative and analytic models to help manage credit riskMake decisions regarding implementation of initiatives with moderate to high risk and partner with risk analysts in development of risk oversight strategiesInfluence and lead risk management to meet deliverables and drive new initiativesCollaborate and consult with management, independent risk management, companywide risk analysts and regulatory agencies to resolve findings and develop investment risk oversight initiatives and strategiesCollaborate on key investment risk oversight analysis, provide on-going market monitoring for potential impacts to Wells Fargo clients, and escalate key risk topics to monthly risk oversight forums

4+ years of strong experience in SQLShould be able to execute scripts in Python (Intermediate proficiency)A graduate or higher qualification in business, accounting, finance, statistics, or economicsProgress towards or achievement of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certificationExperience or exposure with Bloomberg, MSCI Barra and/or FactSetWorking experience with the investment management industryExperience analyzing financial markets and/or financial instruments for risk/return purposesAbility to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environmentExperience or exposure in analytics software such as Python, R or MATLABExperience in writing and maintaining SQL queries
