Chewy is seeking a Senior iOS Developer to join our Mobile Apps team. The ideal candidate succeeds in a fast-paced environment, is self-motivated, and has a passion for business and technology. You will be responsible for maintaining existing code and developing new features in a Swift-based native iOS application. What You'll Do:

Improve code quality through participation in peer code reviews and knowledge share sessions within and across teams. As well as have the opportunity to keep up to date with the newest technology and development trends in iOSContribute to all areas of the development lifecycle, including architecture, design, development, testing, and release to the App StoreUnit testing code for adaptability, including edge cases, usability, and reliabilityWork alongside product managers, designers, and other developers to analyze tasks and deliver accurate estimatesFind opportunities for architecture or process improvements and drive discussions for adoption

What You'll Need:

The ability to work well in a distributed team environmentExcellent customer service skills, including verbal and written communication skillsExperience being a technical leader and mentoring other developersExpertise with SwiftExpertise with WebView and fixing hybrid pages within the appExperience debugging memory and performance-related issues through developer toolsProven experience in writing high-quality, reusable code with minimal defectsHistory of releasing to the App Store frequently, with no loss in code qualityUnderstanding of common iOS design patterns, i.e., MVC, MVVM, CoordinatorsAbility to learn new concepts and architectures quickly, as well as react to changes in priority or requirements on the flyExperience with Git, branching strategies, and pull requestsExperience integrating third-party librariesPassion for writing quality unit tests, UI automation tests, and TDD or a desire to learnBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical work experience

Bonus:

Experience with Agile/Scrum toolsExperience developing React Native or other cross-platform solutionsHands-on experience with handling an iOS CI ecosystem, including provisioning profiles and certificate managementKnowledge of running CI/CD through Macstadium or similar solutions.Knowledge of User Interface and Accessibility standard methodologies

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant. We offer different types of insurance, such as medical/Rx, vision, dental, life, disability, hospital indemnity, critical illness, and accident. Pay Range$134,500—$215,000 USD
