About you and this role

Supports business growth, service enhancements, and cost to serve productivity gains by identifying and implementing, through project work, supply chain and end-to-end (E2E) improvements to a single business, multiple businesses or an envelope. Interacts with global or other regional teams, when needed. Focuses on E2E design to enable a business in the region and to support the business expansion into new markets, and on re-designing /optimizing existing supply chains networks or other functional structures in the E2E space for the business. Maximizes business value growth, economic profit, cash flow and customer service through improvements in supply chain costs, capital investment, asset utilization, productivity and quality. Requires broadened conceptual and working knowledge and experience in job discipline to perform a range of work assignments. Uses prescribed guidelines or policies in analyzing situations and receives a moderate level of guidance and direction. Provides informal guidance to new team members. Analyzes possible solutions using technical experience, judgment and precedents to solve problems.

In this role, you will require understanding of key business drivers for your discipline and function. You will need to be able to expand conceptual and working knowledge related to your discipline or functional area. You are expected to provide informal guidance to new team members and be able to explain complex information to others.

It is your responsibility to use technical experience, established practices, and personal judgement to analyze and resolve straightforward problems. Your performance impacts the quality of your own work and your team’s work and requires that you work within established guidelines and policies.

Responsibilities:

Supports the design and optimization of supply chains through the use of optimization tools (linear programming, spreadsheet analysis) and tests supply chain design scenarios, process variability and trade-offs through modeling techniques (simulation)Identifies, assesses and optimizes the material flow and risk trade-offs across the supply chain at a tactical or strategic level (inventory, purchasing costs, production costs, logistics costs, product quality, asset utilization, productivity and customer service)Optimizes or designs supply chain infrastructures (distribution networks, plant locations, outsourcing) as well as technologies (distribution equipment, packaging materials and packaging equipment design)Participates on supply chain strategy development, including customer/product mix analysis, customer/product segmentation, channels-to-market, capital investment, and sourcing decisionsSupports Business Growth initiatives by designing and implementing key E2E & Supply Chain Capabilities according to business requirements. Builds new capabilities models and implements solutions to enable business growth initiatives - like new logistics capabilities (tanks, warehouses, blends, etc.) – while interacting and leading cross-functional teamsDrives E2E service improvements and customer satisfaction interacting with SME’s and Quality to address complaint trends and key customer requirementsIdentifies and leads Cost to Serve and Productivity improvement projects across the E2E chain to deliver competitiveness to the businessIdentifies and assists in the implementation of optimum inventory levels that balance costs with business strategic initiativesOptimizes the development of supply chain work processes, business rules, and establishes metrics in the areas of forecasting/demand planning, production planning, inventory management, order fulfillment and the S&OP process. Interacts with other E2E Improvement Specialists to align on key cross business or leveraged projects. Provides support and expertise in supply chain operations technology (distribution equipment, packaging materials, and packaging equipment design)


Qualifications

3-6 years of experience in a Supply Chain or process. University Degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or other SciencesThe critical competencies required for success are: supply chain management skills, interpersonal effectiveness, understanding customer needs, team work, taking initiative, problem solving skills, value creation, technical proficiency in use of computer applications, analytical skills and project management skills
