Senior IT Analyst/Programmer
CTG is seeking to fill a Senior IT Analyst/Programmer opening for our client in Rochester, MN. Location: Remote Duration: 6 Months Duties: The Senior IT Analyst/Programmer will be responsible for: Developing and supporting custom and vended systems. Providing rotational 24/7 on-call support, including daytime on-call support. Performing system verification activities, including developing and executing effective test plans. Engaging in custom software development. Applying knowledge of security concepts such as SSL, authentication APIs, and encryption to projects. Designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining custom system software. Installing and maintaining purchased systems software, as well as configuring and supporting hardware systems across locations. Collaborating with senior technical staff to develop proposals that evaluate alternatives and business cases, and gaining necessary institutional approvals. Regularly reviewing applications and making modifications to ensure their currency and functionality. Maintaining and supporting multiple systems or complex software applications, and their associated hardware across multiple sites. Creating and maintaining documentation, such as system requirements, designs, resource inventories, and plans. Providing technical and project leadership to other staff members, demonstrating initiative, and working independently to accomplish responsibilities. Working effectively across departmental organizations, gaining consensus among stakeholders. Interfacing with vendor support services and external support teams to ensure proper escalation during outages or system performance degradation. Acting as a liaison to departments and vendors to ensure proper support for the division's computing systems. Participating in virtual collaboration and partnerships with colleagues. Providing 24/7 on-call support as required. Skills: Microsoft SQL Server Windows Server Familiarity with Azure DevOps for work management Web development using C# and proficiency in .NET framework Experience with Angular and JavaScript API development and verification Strong knowledge of security concepts, including SSL, authentication APIs, and encryption System verification and test plan execution Organizational skills to manage multiple assignments simultaneously Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service and client relationship management Ability to field tasks with minimal supervision and escalate when necessary Proactive issue identification and initiative Project leadership and documentation skills Effective virtual communication and collaboration across teams Experience: 3+ years' experience, including at least 1 year of demonstrated technical experience Alternatively, an Associate’s degree with 7 years of experience, including at least 1 year of technical experience Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or an Associate's degree with 7 years of experience Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
