Purpose of Role

The Data Analyst role is responsible for the management and maintenance of an enterprise Data Lakehouse environment, data catalogue and data glossary, including establishment and monitoring of governance and security controls, and improving overall quality, testing procedures and accessibility of enterprise data. This role contributes in the design and establishment of the Enterprise Data Governance framework and standards, and in issue resolution and request management for the data lakehouse and enterprise reports.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the Management and Maintenance of an enterprise data catalog and data glossaryContribute to the design and establishment of an Enterprise Data Governance framework and standardsResponsible for the establishment and monitoring of detective and preventative controls for the governing and securing of the Data Lakehouse environmentPartner with data engineers and reporting analysts to model, profile data and define business rules that support data pipelines, enterprise reporting and analyticsImprove overall quality, testing procedures and accessibility of enterprise data.Responsible for conducting analysis on the impact of changes to source data on the Data Lakehouse and enterprise reportsContribute to data and enterprise report testing through delivery cyclesContribute to the triage, analysis and resolution of identified issues and service requests for the Data Lakehouse and Enterprise Reports

Qualifications

3-5 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Science, or Data Engineer.Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Math, Sciences, Engineering).Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (desired)Advanced SQL to query databases and data sources (required)Experience with Data Governance tools such as Microsoft Purview (required)Experience in Advanced SQL, Data Lakehouse, Enterprise Datawarehouse and Data Governance, data catalog & glossary (desired)Experience with Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools such as Power BIExperience with Workday or Dynamics 365 (desired)
