Senior IT Applications Specialist - Corporate IT (Kansas City)
**Description** The Senior IT Applications will lead operations teams to deploy and maintain software technology and tools throughout the organization. This position will lead the scoping and execution of operations initiatives according to budget constraints and internal client needs. The position will support all Global Practices, Regional Officers, Project Offices, and affiliates globally. What you will do + Plan operations and maintenance for Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) applications, infrastructure and data for internal clients, including but not limited to Burns & McDonnell’s current primary four applications: Autodesk, Bentley Systems, Hexagon and ESRI. + Deploy and support AEC applications and additional applications as required by business demand. + Lead administration and develop automation routines related to product operations (provisions, permissions, metadata) to support business requirements. + Applies knowledge and experience to complex initiatives and finds/develops operational efficiencies to improve project execution. + Responsible for coordination between IT disciplines and Global Practices to operate and maintain software and technology that will optimize business processes and deliverables, provide seamless integration, and improve data management. + Build effective relationships with existing clients and develop new operational opportunities. Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction goals and expectations are met. + Troubleshoot critical issues and major problems that have been reported by internal clients or escalated by other IT applications staff. + Escalate unresolved problems to vendor product support as required in a timely manner. + Develop application test plans and record outcomes in the initiative execution plan. + Analyze reoccurring issues to determine root cause, corrective action and recommend preventative action. + Analyze customer issues to identify trends and make recommendations that reduce the number of reoccurring issues. + Remain informed on improvements in products relevant to the AEC industry. + Create system architecture diagrams for critical systems. + Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to junior IT applications staff. + Responsible for QA/QC processes for incident tickets. **Qualifications** + Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, MIS, CAD, Engineering or related field. Applicable experience may be substituted for degree requirement. + 8 years professional experience in troubleshooting and resolving design application programs. + Expert knowledge of Autodesk, Bentley, Hexagon, ESRI or other engineering and design software suites in a production environment. + Exceptional customer service, troubleshooting, and analytical skills. + Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. + Exceptional ability to ascertain customer concerns, consider alternatives and provide customers guidance to solve their questions or issues. + Ability to interact with customers in a professional manner that enhances the customers’ experience and increases productivity and quality. + Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors and other business partners. + Strong organizational and prioritization skills to interact with multiple customers with differing needs based on business impact. + Ability to independently set and meet multiple deadlines. + Expert computer skills including Microsoft Office.
