Senior IT Auditor – Denver, Colorado

In this crucial role you will oversee the planning, designing, and executing of our internal audit activities for technology audits. 

 Role Responsibilities  

Work with audit team and business to identify key risk areas in business-critical technology functions and systems. 

Determine testing objectives and approach to support audit objectives. 

Perform testing of internal processes and controls, including IT General Controls (ITGCs). 

Document test procedures, reports, and findings. 

Actively coordinate with audit team and stakeholders through in-person, online, and email communication. 

Identify and communicate audit findings in a timely manner to stakeholders and work with them to determine action plans. 

Provide timely updates to audit management and leadership, and to stakeholders on audit progress, findings, and resolution items. 

Plan and prioritize work tasks with the assistance of audit management and leadership. Accordingly, ensure timely completion and delivery of testing documentation, evidence artifacts, and results. 

Review staff auditor workpapers, documentation, and provide guidance. 

 

Role Requirements 

3+ years of experience in corporate IT internal audit, external audit, SOX auditing, business process or risk consulting, information technology, or public accounting. Big 4 experience preferred. 

In-depth knowledge and understanding of audit processes including planning, fieldwork, and reporting. 

Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, especially Microsoft Excel. 

Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, information systems, technology/computer engineering, or business. 

Strong critical thinking and analytical skills. 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

Ability to independently lead audit efforts and leverage support of audit management and leadership.

Salary 

The on-target earnings range is $94,500 – $110,000 per year, which includes a base salary and short-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.
