In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this technical/functional leader position is also responsible for leading system redesign and enhancement to facilitate clinical, operational, and organizational objectives by ensuring appropriate use of medical informatics standards; developing best practices and strategies; and supporting the data needs of key stakeholders. This position is also responsible for evaluating and interpreting the quality and value of KPHC solutions; and applying medical informatics to enhance patient care, population health, and support organizational priorities. This includes providing leadership and expert consultation on the design, development, and implementation of process and programs related to KPHC; and leveraging partnerships with other physicians and leaders to support leadership in the pursuit and attainment of organizational goals.

Minimum Qualifications:
M.D. or D.O., including all applicable accreditation and eligibility requirements set forth by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
Minimum five (5) years of experience as a Physician Informaticist OR completion of a clinical informatics fellowship.
Bachelors degree requirement below is superseded by a M.D. or D.O.
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, CIS or related field and Minimum eight (8) years experience in IT consulting, business analysis, or a related field. Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement. Advanced degrees may be substituted for the work experience requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:Five (5) years experience working with electronic medical records, standardized vocabularies, clinical reporting, database management, and decision support.Five (5) years experience with developing user interfaces in health care applications.Five (5) years experience implementing evidence based medicine into computer applications/ decision support systems.Five (5) years experience with implementation of electronic health systems, personal health records, and/or electronic consumer health solutions.Three (3) years experience working with artificial intelligence.
