The Senior IT Domain Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the cloud platforms, systems and solutions deliver a superior connected experience for our consumer and business customers. You do this by drawing on your deep expertise in multiple public cloud offerings and technologies combined with your broad experience in designing, implementing, managing and improving complex technology solutions.Job DescriptionAs a Senior IT Domain Specialist, you apply your broad experience and deep expertise in specific infrastructure platforms and systems technologies, utilising agile and/or lean ways of working to deliver the following responsibilities:
• Contributing to the design and delivery of complex Cloud Platforms, IT systems and solutions that support our strategic priorities and objectives.
• Overseeing the optimisation of deployment from concept and test into production across the infrastructure and/or operational support system environment
• Managing and validating system lifecycle plans and identifying improvement opportunities for solutions to meet performance and operational requirements.
• Working closely and collaboratively with technology partners and stakeholders to understand customer needs, leveraging expertise to influence the approach, accelerate change, drive speed and agility to achieve outcomes that deliver a great customer experience.
• Analysing data and stakeholder inputs to inform key decision making, identify and address barriers, build confidence for risk-taking and help to ensure quality of outcomes.
• Applying mature critical thinking, analysis and modelling skills, including cost modelling and options analysis to assess complex issues and create solutions that meet the immediate business requirements, and also cost effectively “engineer in” quality, resiliency, flexibility to adapt to future change, ease of maintenance and continuous improvement.
• Assessing capability of vendor solutions and offerings to meet business requirements and managing vendor performance and technology delivery.
• Maintaining a high level of capability in domain technologies, including new and emerging technologies, tools, systems and processes so that you can model continuous learning and actively provide coaching and mentoring of less experienced infrastructure engineering team members
• Encouraging and supporting innovation, simplification and continuous improvement in the team through generation of ideas and experimentation to enhance system, processes and technology within the domain
