Mercer (US) LLC is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Houston, TX office (A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with company policies.):

Senior IT Implementation Consultant

We will count on you to:

Provide strategic thinking, technical expertise, and support in the end-to-end implementation of HR information systems. Ensure that clients’ programs and processes are aligned with the new system, develop configuration plans, manage data transformation, and provide go-live assistance and ongoing support. Assist in loading data, testing and validating applications, and configuring applications. Assist in writing and structuring client presentations/reports to create summary reports. Manage project execution and plan project stages and assess project solutions and deliverables, meeting client expectations for each project. On larger projects, lead, guide and support senior consultants or project managers and serve as liaison between the clients and technical aspects of the projects to ensure payroll and absence or time tracking related project solutions and deliverables are meeting the client’s expectations. For smaller or more routine client projects, serve as liaison and act as the project manager, establishing the project plan and monitoring overall project deliverables against deadlines ensuring quality standards are delivered to clients. Manage and review the project work of more junior project team members to assess business implications for each stage and contribute to the analysis and development of proposed client strategy resolution. Ensure that client's programs and processes are aligned with the new system, developing configuration plans, managing data transformation, and providing go-live assistance and ongoing support. Deliver Workday task specific to payroll and absence or time tracking work areas of designing business processes; prototype and configure applications; configure application integrations; transform and load data; test and validate applications; support production roll-out; and provide ongoing production support. May supervise up to 1-3 Workday Analysts.

What you need to have: 

Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field plus four (4) years of experience with Workday implementations and/or post-production support in the position offered or a related position. Must have four (4) years of experience with all of the following: Workday implementations and/or post-production support working on multiple engagements and deliverables simultaneously; Workday configuration including solutioning, building, testing, and deploying US Payroll solutions while handling all relevant touchpoints with Absence and Time Tracking; Leading client-facing discovery and scoping sessions to accurately capture and document all requirements, detail downstream impacts, and deliver requisite level of effort and pricing estimates; Serving as client-facing liaison to provide knowledge transfer on configuration design, configuration maintenance, and troubleshooting solutions; Leading small teams of Workday Payroll/Absence/Time Tracking consultants. Must have at least two (2) full end-to-end Workday implementation projects for US Payroll leveraging Workday Implementation Deployment Methodology, performing Data Conversion for Payroll implementation and post-production efforts. Must have the following Workday certifications: HCM; US Payroll; and either Time Tracking or Absence.
