The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.
**Scope of Position:**
TheSenior IT Manufacturing Systems Analyst is killed in the day-to-day operating requirements for data or network systems, practices, and standards for end-users, including operation of product trials, production systems, production scheduling and control, reports distribution, service level support, equipment operation, disaster recovery, software, security, and data storage management
Support and modify a local, custom-built Manufacturing Execution System that uses CAMSTAR, version 5.8. This system employs the following CAMSTAR technologies: Camstar Open Adapter and XML Connect. The application is essential for factory operations.
Provide operations support and maintenance for hardware and software used by Mfg. systems on the shop floor. Support and enhance plant reporting systems, including SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS. Analyze business needs for new applications to ensure a high level of runtime performance, availability of technology tools, user assistance, and security for applications, infrastructure, and desktop components.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Solve customer problems by analyzing situations to find common issues, identifies
+ root cause(s) and develop effective solutions.
+ Minimize customization in favor of configuration.
+ Assist with implementation of new solutions or upgrades to existing solutions including communications, documentation and training.
+ Manage multiple tasks to deadlines; communicate progress at regular intervals.
+ Gathers information independently using established and well-defined procedures.
+ Takes initiative to identify and propose remedies to problems to increase efficient workflow.
+ Contributes to the completion of routine technical tasks.
+ Ensure compliance with Corning’s risk management policies and procedures in new and existing solutions
+ Deploy and troubleshoot IT infrastructure and equipment for manufacturing capabilities
+ Manage access requests and approvals with appropriate documentation and change control processes
+ Create and maintain documentation of plants systems and applications
+ Maintain data systems and visual displays based on business requirements
+ Support production processes by helping to resolve technical issues with IT systems in a timely and efficient manner
**Education and Experience**
+ Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science or related field and 3+ years of operational IT experience.
+ Familiarity with manufacturing systems and concepts
+ Experience in production environment
**Required Skills**
+ CAMSTAR Enterprise Manufacturing Execution System 5.8 or greater including Open Adapter and XML Connect, MOM Connect, OpCenter Ex 8x
+ Microsoft Business Intelligence Tools including SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS
+ Computer programming experience including VB.Net, C#.Net, XML Schema, XSLT, WSDL, SOAP & Web Services experience
+ Experience using OSI PI, Kepware
+ Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Database Server
+ Strong troubleshooting and communications skills
+ Awareness of current standards and trends in IT and emerging technology
+ Understanding of IT security and network risks
+ Team player that works well with others
+ Creative and innovative problem solving
+ Effectively manages priorities
**Desired Skills**
+ Understanding of OPC (OLE for Process Control) and Process Control
+ Experience using and building reports with Power BI
+ Experience with ERP solutions
+ Performance excellence experience (Six Sigma)
**Travel**
+ Negligible. Potential for domestic travel once or twice a year.
**Hours of work/work schedule/flextime:**
+ M-F 8am-5pm Onsite
+ 24x7 On-call rotation, shared with other team members

The range for this position is $75,470.00 - $103,772.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
