Senior IT Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:

 1. Budget and Cost Management

 • Develop project budget plans, monitor fund utilization, and ensure that expenditures are reasonable and compliant with financial regulations.

 • Track and control project costs to ensure expenditures remain within budget and identify and address cost overrun risks in a timely manner.

 • Regularly report project fund usage to senior management, ensuring transparency and traceability of financial information.

 2. Scope Management

 • Communicate with stakeholders to define the project scope and delivery standards, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

 3. Process Management and Quality Control

 • Track the team’s execution progress through regular project meetings, milestone reviews, and deliverable acceptance.

 • Identify potential risks within the project and work with the delivery team and internal stakeholders to develop risk mitigation plans.

 4. Cross-Department Communication and Stakeholder Management

 • Collaborate with internal business units to clarify project requirements and prioritize tasks, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

 • Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on project status, costs, progress, and risks to ensure clarity and alignment.

 • Maintain close communication with delivery team managers and technical leads to ensure timely resolution of project issues.

Key Skills and Competencies:

 • Cost Control and Budget Management: Strong ability to plan, control, and manage project funds to ensure effective use of financial resources.

 • Risk Management and Change Management: Ability to identify potential risks early and develop timely mitigation measures to ensure project stability and continuity.

 • Data Analysis and Reporting: Ability to analyze cost, progress, and quality data to provide data-driven decision-making support. Capable of summarizing key project updates and support needs concisely for senior management reporting.

 • Cross-Department Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication skills to work effectively with internal stakeholders, including business departments, delivery teams, finance, and senior management.

Qualifications:

 • Bachelor’s degree or higher in management, insurance, information technology, or related fields is preferred.

 • At least 5 years of project management experience, preferably experience in Hong Kong project.

 • PMP or other relevant certifications are preferred.

 • Strong proficiency in both written and spoken Chinese and English, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in Cantonese for business communication is preferred.
