**JOB PURPOSE**
The Senior IT Software Development Specialist is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and support of IT solutions that drive business objectives and enhance operational efficiency. He/she delivers effective and efficient integrated business applications programming and technical support.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Review, validate, and generate detailed and accurate documentation of technical implementations and support activities, ensuring ongoing updates to the system documentation.
- Conduct thorough technical analyses and feasibility studies on users' needs, proposing integrated solutions that align with business objectives and existing IT infrastructure.
- Conduct rigorous testing, installation, and updates on the system's components to ensure optimal performance, security, and compliance with industry standards and regulations. Implement proactive measures to address potential issues and maintain a stable IT environment.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for new team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively utilize IT solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, when necessary, to identify and implement innovative IT solutions that enhance business processes and drive operational efficiency. Remain updated with the latest technology trends and best practices to continuously improve IT solutions and services.
- Assist in IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Effectively communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, and implement mitigation strategies as needed.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to IT solutions, including security, data privacy, and regulatory compliance. Ensure adherence to IT policies, procedures, and standards, and implement measures to address any non-compliance issues.
- Remain updated on current industry trends and emerging technologies. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance network and system performance and security.
**Qualifications**
**LANGUAGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS**
**Language Proficiency**
- Fluency in English.
**Technical Skills**
- Proficiency in software engineering, programming languages, and frameworks.
- Proficiency in software development, such as Agile, Waterfall, and Scrum.
- Proficiency in SQL coding.
**Specific Skills**
- Knowledge in business applications.
**EDUCATION**
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or Computer Science, or a related field.
Master's degree is a plus.
**EXPERIENCE**
**General Experience**
Four to six years of experience in IT Software Development, or a similar role.
