Job Summary

The Senior IT Solutions Architect will provide technical leadership for the organization’s infrastructure transformation, focusing on cloud adoption, automation, and virtualization. The position is responsible for designing and implementing scalable solutions that enhance security, resiliency, and operational efficiency across enterprise systems. It requires deep expertise in Azure and related technologies, integration of secure access platforms such as Citrix, and the development of strategies for data protection and cyber resilience. The role also involves guiding tool consolidation efforts, introducing low-code automation solutions, and overseeing vendor engagements to ensure compliance and performance.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:  

Architect and deploy system and development pipelines

Lead efforts to build and deploy environments, services and application infrastructure.  Drive new capabilities, support training and enablement withing Enterprise Applications to support and scale services.

User Access Integration

Design and implement integrated Citrix environments to provide secure, seamless access for users across geographies and devices.  Experience with other secure remote access, VDI and application virtualization technology (specifically in Azure).

Cyber Resilience & Data Strategy

Develop and execute a strategy to ensure enterprise data remains accurate, synchronized, and protected. Implement data protection and cyber-resilience frameworks aligned with industry best practices, including air-gapped backups.

Tool Consolidation & Automation

Analyze and consolidate enterprise scheduling and workflow tools. Lead the evaluation and adoption of low-code solutions such as Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Bicep and Terraform.

Vendor Oversight & Governance

Provide strategic oversight and technical guidance for third-party vendor engagements. Ensure compliance with contractual agreements, performance metrics, and security requirements.

Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred)7+ years of experience in IT architecture, infrastructure engineering, or a related technical leadership roleStrong hands-on experience with virtualization platforms, especially AVS/ASR, Infrastructure as CodeDeep understanding of Citrix or other application virtualization technologies and secure access architecturesFamiliarity with Microsoft Power Platform, especially Power Apps and Power Automate, Bicep or TerraformProven experience with data resilience strategies and cyber security best practicesDemonstrated experience in leading cloud migration and automation initiatives at scaleVendor management and contract negotiation skills

Skills

Experience with hybrid cloud infrastructure and DevOps practicesFamiliarity with ITIL or other service management frameworks

Computer Skills

Proficient/Intermediate/Advanced with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
