Senior Java Developer

Roles & Responsibilities:

Primary Skills

· Maintain high-quality software solutions using Java

· Strong Spring Boot, Rest API

· Hands on experience with Microservices architecture, JPA, Docker, JPOS.

· Good knowledge on JVM internals and capable of profiling already built services for performance bottlenecks

· Experience in building highly memory safe and secure Java applications which can be run on resource constraint devices

· JPOS/PCI device Experience

Secondary Skills

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for new features and enhancements.

· Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers to foster a collaborative and productive team environment.

· Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and identify areas for improvement.

· Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to ensure smooth operation of software applications.

· Participate in the design and architecture of scalable and robust software systems.

· Implement best practices in software development to ensure high-quality code and efficient performance.

Qualifications

Experience: 6 to10 years

· Java

· Spring Boot

· Spring Rest

· Microservices

· JPA

· JPOS

· Docker

· Good knowledge on JVM internals and capable of profiling already built services for performance bottlenecks – preferred

· Experience in building highly memory safe and secure Java applications which can be run on resource constraint devices – preferred

· JPOS/PCI device Experience - Preferred

The annual salary for this position is between $68,422 – $114,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
