Key Responsibilities:
Research, design, develop and maintain web-based grant management application for the National Institutes of Health.
The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience with J2EE architecture framework, conceptual design, complex detail design, and software development skills to lead the implementation of enterprise systems. The candidate will participate in the software development process including application design and software coding.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• OOA/OOD knowledge with life cycle development experience with J2EE
technology.
• J2EE architecture framework design and full life cycle large scale N-tier
software development from conceptual design to implementation. Spring, Spring JDBC
• Spring MVC, Struts, XML.
• General persistence technologies.
• Web Services –SOAP and REST.
• Basic UNIX skills.
• Experience with Tomcat container.
• Relational database knowledge (Oracle) and fluent with SQL programming.
• PL/SQL Programming
• UML tools
• Familiarity with software development lifecycles (SDLC) and ability to apply best practices using industry standards throughout all software developed.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in a related technical field and 5+ years related technical experience or a Master's Degree in a related technical field and 3+ years of related experience.
