Senior Java Software Developer to join our team in Baltimore MD to support the development of SSA CFRMS applications.

The Sr. Java Developer will:

Analyze client requirements and recommend solutions and strategies to meet requirements.

Interact regularly with the SSA management, architects and project leads to discuss technical issues, project milestones and deliverables.

Participate in code reviews and design discussions and ensure that the code and other deliverables meet industry standards.

Analyze performance issues and recommend/develop fixes to improve performance of CFRMS applications.

Support production deployments provide technical expertise to solve production issues.

Provide full life cycle system support to the Claims File Record Management System (CFRMS) project.

Provide end-to-end support and assistance to the customer to improve software quality, the software Build process, and software version control. Duties include; design, development and unit testing of various CFRMS components such as Destruction of Logically Deleted Disability (DMA) Artifacts (DLDDDA), Medicare Part D Low Income Subsidy (MPDS) Destruction, and the Claims File User Interface (CFUI), among others.

Participate in the code review process to ensure quality and correctness of code and mentoring of new resources.

This project within the Social Security Administration's enterprise record management system provides records management for more than 20 claims processing systems. CFRMS provides the following two primary records management functions: Access & Disclosure and Retention & Destruction.
  
Skills Requirements:


Basic skills:
Senior Java developer with a minimum of 11 years of experience with the following:

Java, Java EE, EJB, JSP, Servlets, JDBC, Struts, SQL, DB2, WebSphere Application Server 7/8.5, Rational Application Developer 8/8.5
