You’ll be joining a team within Wholesale Banking Tech – Financial Markets & Group Treasury. Our team is a part of the Competitive Services IT area of ING. We are responsible for development and maintenance of several systems that are used in the post trade processes of Financial Markets and Global Treasury. You are a coder and love coding. You have a passion for learning to improve self through coding. Automation amazes you and you get your kicks from delivering systems to the customers. You take pride in delivering world-class reliable and scalable systems.

Qualifications

Masters/Bachelor’s Degree in IT/Computer Science/Engineering related courses

Role & responsibilities

As a senior Java engineer, you will be responsible for shaping the technical vision of the team with the other developers and Chapter lead and you will enable team to follow your vision. We operate according to an Agile Scrum development process and strongly believe in the DevOps approach to delivering IT solutions. Our focus is on high-quality software delivered continuously using iterative development. We deliver working software every 2 weeks to production. In this way of working, we maximize the customers satisfaction/impact and have a great feedback loop.

How to succeed6+ years of professional java experience (design, develop and maintain highly available and resilient applications)Experience with java 8+, Git and MavenExperience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA/JDBCKnowledge of Azure - CI/CD pipeline is also important as we are migrating to cloud based solution. CI/Cd solution is in Azure already. Experience with Unit and Integration testingGood understanding of DB (RDBMS) and SQL.Knowledge of Ansible is nice to have.Understanding messaging platforms (i.e. Kafka, XFB, EMS, ActiveMQ and/or IBM MQ)Experience with monitoring and alerting (Prometheus/Grafana), Elastic searchExperience with containers (Docker, K8S or OpenShift)Basic Linux commands and bash scriptingGood knowledge on relational database i.e. Oracle, CassandraYour behaviour matches our Orange Code.You feel at home in a high-performing team, and you make the other team members feel at home as well.     Fluent English speaking and writing.
