Job Overview

            The role is for a senior level java engineer tasked with spearheading and implementing organization-wide technical changes and/or initiatives for the Wholesale Lending arm of ING. They are expected to be adept at managing both business and technical stakeholders within the Lending area. Furthermore, expertise in the ability to do both low-level technical work such as coding and high-level work such as architectural design and technical management is needed.

Key Responsibilities

Technical ownership of mission critical systems of ING, this includes design, change, security and risk management for a given systemTechnical leadership is also a key responsibility of the position. There is a need for this position to be able to spearhead changes in the organization, this includes creating better ways of working as well as creating tools and systems that will benefit the areaStakeholder management is another responsibility of the engineer. As the technical leader, there is an expectation to be able to balance both the delivery of new features as well as the stability and risk of the whole area’s technical infrastructure

Key Capabilities/Experience

Candidate must be comfortable with spearheading technical changes that affect multiple teams within the organizationCandidate must be proficient in conducting technical discussions with architects, engineers and business line stakeholdersCandidate must be an expert with creating or modifying features with an emphasis on risk, stability, and security management
