We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of a Lead Consultant Specialist.

In this role, you will:

Re-designing large monolithic application into smaller componentsDeployment through containers, and strategies for building and deploying highly available productsAdvice on, and compliance with CICD, DevOps and Agile practicesWorking in all stages of the development pipeline: Working with the business to gather requirements, implement those requirements with automated testing, and present the results to the business for review.Work closely with Business IT Project Managers to ensure delivery of solutions consistent with Finance IT’s Strategic Architecture.Provide input to design discussions and project planning meetings.Build good working relationships with other IT departments and relevant business areasProvide out of hours support to the production batch with a focus on Oracle and performance tuningDelivering valuable working software to the business with a constant focus on technical process improvementWorking in PODs to help deliver Stories / Tasks and also involved in providing the technical Support in Production tickets / Incidents on rota basis.

Expert in Java development with Clear understanding of Microservices,Exposure to Oracle PL/SQL and an understanding of relational databasesStrong experience in SQL query writing, including ANSI SQL.A clear understanding of GIT, and different approaches to a CICD pipelineUNIX experience including script generation.Highly developed reasoning and analytical skills.Good communication stills, and experience of interacting directly with business teams.Has worked in a Banking environment as has some understanding of the banking business

Technical Service Design using Archimate and/other modelling methodsKnowledge of batch processing systems/tools (Control-M, Choreographer)Project Delivery Experience, especially AgileExperience with working with multi-location teams and building up offshore capability.
